We build and remanufacture breakout machines, bucking units, and accessories, and offer machine maintenance and calibration programs with in-house or field repair services.

We also specialize in custom manufacturing and fabrication work. From large, multi-phase projects to small labor-saving devices, PRIME Downhole can design, engineer, machine and fabricate your product. Our Team

Nick Williams

Vice President

Nick has been in the industry in various capacities for the last 13+ years. He started his career with Pathfinder Energy Services in 2008 in Lafayette, LA making his way to Midland he became the District Manager for Mud Motors. After 4 years in Midland he and his young family moved to Colorado where he became a Regional Manager for the motor group. He developed into the NAL R&M Manager role for Pathfinder Schlumberger before he parted ways to begin his sales career. Having various opportunities in sales Nick has worked in directional drilling for QES and LEAM as well as selling power sections for Dyna Drill.

Jodi Edgar

VP Finance

Jodi has 20 years’ experience in various accounting and financial management roles, mostly in the oilfield. Right after graduate school, Jodi started as an Internal Auditor for W-H Energy Services. After the acquisition of W-H by Smith International, she served as Operations Controller for various divisions and geographic regions of Smith. Following the acquisition of Smith International by Schlumberger in 2010, she became an Accounting Manager at the Schlumberger NAM Financial Hub in Houston. Jodi left Schlumberger in 2013 to serve as Controller of Basintek, now Abaco Drilling Technologies. Jodi left Abaco in 2019 to join Prime as VP of Finance. Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, watching Texas State Football, and traveling.

Phillip Martinez

Inside and Production Manager

In his role, Phillip works with customers on the specifics of their orders as well as directly with the shop floor to make sure items are produced at a high quality and shipped out in a timely manner. Phillip has 18+ years of experience in the Machining/Manufacturing business, mainly focusing on Downhole Drilling Tools for the Oil & Gas industry. He started his career in the purchasing department of an independently owned manufacturing facility in Conroe, Texas in the early 2000’s and has since worked hard to move into greater roles of responsibility. In his spare time, Phillip likes to hunt, fish, play disc golf and enjoy time with his family.

Kaylee Guy

Inside Sales

Graduated from University of Houston in 2017, Prime was my first job out of college. I started as the receptionist and worked my way up to Inside Sales and now assist with Prime and Viking marketing. Born and raised in Houston, Texas. Outside of work, I enjoy doing photography and spending time with my family.

Mike Perkins

Outside Sales

Mike serves as Sales for Prime Downhole Mfg. and has worked over 40 years in the manufacturing and supply chain fields within the Oil & Gas industry. Mike has had a long rewarding career working with the manufacturing groups of Wireline, Measurement While Drilling, Logging While Drilling, Reservoir Sampling, Drilling and SubSea.

Brent Rust

Outside Sales

Brent has been in the industry for 25 years. He started at MIC Group in the gun-drill department and then was moved to CNC mill department; transferred into outside sales role in 2001. In 2008 he went to work at Dyna-Drill and in 2016 he joined Prime. He has two daughters; one is playing softball at Blinn and the other is still in High School and enjoys FFA. Brent enjoys spending time with his family and hunting, fishing and playing golf when he has time.

Kevin McBride

VP Operations

Kevin has 15 years’ experience in engineering design. He was at Lufkin Industries from 1989 – 1996 as a mechanical engineering design in the power transmission division. From 1996 – 2004, he was a mechanical design on the rotary steering tool at Schlumberger, Sugar Land. From 2006 – 2016, Manufacturing VP Operations at CM. From 2021 – Present, VP Operation for Prime. Kevin enjoys traveling with his wife, hunting, fishing and tending to his vegetable garden.
