Prime is your complete supplier for all your threading needs, from standard threads to custom modified threads. We can cold role internal and external threads and are API 7-1 certified. We specialize in quick turnaround threading of rotors and stator as well as doing cut back connections.

Cold Rolling

Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. The term Cold Rolled is mistakenly used on all products, when actually the product name refers to the rolling of flat rolled sheet and coil products.

Hardfacing Metal Overlay

At PRIME Downhole Manufacturing we utilize our combined industry experience and knowledge of hardfacing and downhole tool mechanics to meet the needs of our customers by providing hard metal cladding (overlay) for numerous applications. Prime utilizes a variety of processes to apply tungsten carbide overlay including:

• Oxy Fuel
• Manual PTA
• Fully Automated CNC PTA

We provide hard metal overlay for new equipment manufactured by Prime or customer
provided goods. We pride ourselves on being able to help our customers by
extending the life and wear resistance of their equipment by providing repair and rework of hardfaced components.
